Dory Tuohey sent in an adorable Chicago engagement session that we’re excited to share with our blog readers today!  Dory is based in Wheeling, Illinois, just north of Chicago, and has photographed weddings all over from Wisconsin to Hawaii to Germany.  We asked her to share with us a bit about this couple and how they chose the locations for the photos.  Enjoy!

From Dory:

I met Becca through word of mouth as I do most couples… friends with a previous bride of mine. I offer the engagement session as complimentary because I feel it’s super helpful to the couple in preparation for the big day when we might not have as much time for photos and there is a crowd watching. Like most couples, they’ve never taken professional photos together and were a little unsure. They chose to start at their home for a few shots with their kitty and then move up to the rooftop overlooking Chicago. It was gorgeous out. These two were naturals. Cute nervous giggles that eventually gave way to just enjoying each others company and showing how much they loved each other. I barely had to coach them. From there, we took a walk around the neighborhood from the front stairs, to Becca’s favorite tree. Yes, she has a favorite tree that both Andrew and I were introduced to. =) To finish, they went for some gelato at the little shop on the corner. I cannot wait for this wedding. I know the events that day will be just as personal as the engagement session.
