We received this beautiful wedding submission from Karen Shoufler Photography. Karen is an annual Reset attendee based out of Bourbonnais, Illinois.  She photographed Austin & Alexa’s wedding this summer in Springfield, Illinois, and we’re excited to share her work with our Reset blog readers!  Read on below about the couple and their wedding from Karen:

Austin & Alexa met while students at the University of Illinois through mutual friends. They quickly began spending a lot of time together studying, working out, cooking and watching movies. Austin was a senior and Alexa was just a sophomore, and once he graduated they had to spend the next 5 years traveling 3.5 hours nearly every weekend to be together while she finished her undergrad and then they both finished their master’s degrees.

Their wedding day was almost as beautiful as Alexa looked in her stunning gown and cathedral length veil. Austin and Alexa are one of the sweetest, most easy-going couples I’ve worked with. From the moment they arrived at St Mark’s Catholic Church for the ceremony to photographs at Lincoln’s Home in Springfield to the reception at the Wyndham City Centre, the entire wedding party and families were laid back and fun to be around. I always love couples with big families and a ton of friends. One of my favorite moments of the entire day was when Austin’s grandmother sang them a beautiful a cappella version of Sunrise, Sunset!

Now that they are finally married, Austin and Alexa reside in NW Indiana where he works as an engineer and she is a counselor. They plan on getting a non-shedding puppy, taking many trips to the beach and binge watching shows on Netflix.
