Today’s post features a sweet wedding in Springfield, Illinois photographed by Jill from Jill Gum Photography. Read on as Jill tells us a bit about the wedding.
The wedding story! Meghan and Andrew were high school sweethearts (which I saw as a teacher at the school they attended), and quite truly never had a question in their minds that they would end up together. They planned the most lovely, natural, elegant wedding that felt effortless and easy in the best way, even though it was absolutely clear in the details and beauty that a lot of thought went into it. Meghan and Andrew chose light blue as their main color, pulling in a lot of natural greens to compliment both from their outdoor tree-lined park ceremony and their gorgeous bouquets. The bride, both mothers, a grandmother, and some of the bridesmaids assembled all the florals for the wedding, and they were stunning — the eucalyptus was the perfect compliment to that pretty blue elsewhere, and the white in the bouquets stood out beautifully. Navy tuxes on the gentlemen finished out the look with elegance and style, and the bride’s veil included lace from previous generations. It was a beautiful family and moment-filled event that was an instant forever favorite!
