Let’s be real—blogging can feel like flossing. We know we should do it, but it’s always the thing that gets pushed to “someday.” The Senior Sunday system is what finally made me stop ghosting my own website. I basically brain dump into ChatGPT, chug a Diet Coke, and suddenly I’ve got a blog, captions, pins, and content that makes me look like I’ve got my life together. Spoiler: I don’t. But Senior Sunday makes it look like I do. 😉
How the Senior Sunday System Started
Senior Sunday didn’t come from a fancy marketing brainstorm. It started because I wanted to brag on my seniors—plain and simple. I needed a way to showcase their photos and let people actually get to know them beyond “cute outfit + nice smile.”
That’s why I built a questionnaire full of random things like:
• What’s your favorite holiday?
• Where do you shop?
• What music are you blasting in your car?
• Favorite food?
Those little details give the posts personality, help parents feel connected, and make the seniors shine in a way a quick Instagram caption never could.

⸻The Messy Middle (aka Brain Dump Diaries)
After a session, I do what I lovingly call a brain dump. Sometimes it happens in the car on the way home; other times it’s the next morning while I’m still running on caffeine. Instead of waiting, I just get everything out of my head so I don’t forget the details.
The notes usually include what they wore, who tagged along (mom, dad, siblings, the dog, three cousins…), where we went, and what the weather was doing. I also jot down anything funny, epic, or chaotic that happened. Those details might seem small, but they’re what make the story sing later when I turn it into a blog.

⸻The Cheat Code: My GPT
Here’s where it gets fun. I built myself a GPT that takes my messy brain dump notes + the questionnaire answers and spits out a whole dang content plan. With one quick recap, it creates:
• A full blog post (already SEO-friendly)
• A blog title + keywords
• Instagram reel caption
• Instagram carousel caption
• Facebook caption
• Pinterest pins (yes, plural)
• Even file name suggestions for better SEO
Basically, it’s like having a VA who drinks as much Diet Coke as I do and never complains about the hours.
Scheduling the Senior Sunday System Like a Pro
Instead of posting everything at once, I schedule Senior Sundays throughout the year. That way:
• My blog stays alive
• My socials stay consistent
• Parents and seniors each get their moment to shine
• I’m not panicking in October trying to remember who I still need to feature
The consistency makes a huge difference. Parents have told me they cry reading the features, seniors share them like crazy, and even people outside my client circle read them. Translation? More eyeballs on my work without me spending a dime on ads.

⸻Why the Senior Sunday System Works-
There are a few reasons this system has stuck around:
1. It markets you without being gross. You’re literally celebrating your clients.
2. It makes your seniors feel like rockstars. Which means they’ll share it everywhere.
3. It feeds the SEO beast. Every blog = another way people can find you online.
4. It’s a content factory. One session transforms into a blog, reel, carousel, Facebook post, and pins.
It’s like the photography business hack I wish I had figured out way sooner.
The Wrap-Up
So yeah—the Senior Sunday system is basically my sneaky way of tricking myself into blogging without the dread. Instead of stressing over what to post, I brain dump, caffeinate, and let the system do the heavy lifting. As a result, clients feel celebrated, my website gets Google love, and I look way more consistent than I actually am.

If blogging has been sitting on your to-do list forever, consider this your sign. Start your own version of Senior Sunday. The system makes it simple, and you still get to take all the credit.
