Fellowship Housing is an organization in the Chicago suburbs that desires to help as many families as they can. They aim to assist single mothers by helping them find and pay for housing. The goal is to equip and empower single moms to get back on their feet in a way that helps them live within their means and to budget and save. There is an application and interview process to be a part of the program, and there are certain basic requirements that each mom must have, such as having a valid driver’s license and having a full-time paying job.

Karen Shoufler volunteers her time for the organization whose executive director is her sister Pam Orr. Karen says that as a photographer, she photographs two of the main fundraising events throughout the year, the Fellowship Housing Gala and the Fellowship Housing Golf Outing. She says people can get involved by donating money or participating in their 5K coming up on
May 13.
Karen loves working with Fellowship Housing because she knows that it is a program that works to build up single moms and equip them to be successful. It makes her feel good to be a small part of something so significant by sharing her gift of photography with them.
